Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is it kid friendly?

Yes! The Meadowview Certified Farmers’ Market is a kid-friendly gathering. We will always have an area for kids to have fun, with activities like sidewalk chalk, hula hoops, cornhole, and giant Connect 4. We also have a bookshelf of free books, including plenty of titles for kids. Follow us on social media so you can be sure to know when we have special events for kids!

Are pets allowed?

No pets are allowed. We love dogs and all animals, but California law does not allow them to join you at the farmers’ market unless they are service animals. California Health & Safety Code 114259.5 stipulates that live animals aren’t allowed in Certified Farmers’ Markets and permitted food facilities, with the exception of service animals. Fraudulently misrepresenting service animals is a misdemeanor (California Penal Code 365.7 [a]).

How do I become a vendor?

You can apply through our vendor application online. We are looking for more certified agricultural producers, but also welcome applications from small local food businesses. Our focus is on high quality food products, but we may consider non-edible craft products if they are high-quality, locally-made, unique, and especially if crafted from local ingredients and materials. Value-added products from certified agricultural producers are very welcome (e.g. beeswax candles from apiarists, fiber arts from herders, etc.). Have a different type of business offering a service or product? You can always apply and give us the chance to consider it.
