For some time, those making food and ag policy suggestions to the city have heard back that their ideas should be brought before the Food Justice Taskforce. With the City of Sacramento facing a budget deficit in 2024 hindering new spending, it is the ideal time to act on these policy needs that either do not require significant new spending from the city or present funding opportunities if the city pursues relevant grants.
