Since beginning at Alchemist CDC in 2016, Jacob has played a pivotal role bringing the Alchemist Kitchen project from concept to reality. He worked as the Alchemist Kitchen Program Manager through August 2025,facilitating the Alchemist Microenterprise Academy program, working with businesses in the Alchemist Kitchen Incubator Program, and leading the Alchemist Commissary Kitchen. Now as the Director of Economic Development, Jacob provides leadership to both the Alchemist Kitchen program and the emerging Alchemist Workforce Academy program which will provide workforce development to help Sacramento-area residents to cultivate careers in food service and hospitality. Jacob loves to work with entrepreneurs, see their creative business concepts and eat their delicious creations. Outside of work, Jacob is passionate about Red Sox baseball, cooking and travel.

Alchemist CDC’s Inclusive Economic Development department contributes to this work in the greater Sacramento region primarily through the Alchemist Kitchen food entrepreneurship program and the soon-to-launch Alchemist Workforce Academy.
