Central Sacramento Sunday Farmers' Market
Sacramento’s original certified farmers’ market, the Central Sacramento Sunday Certified Farmers’ Market offers the biggest selection in the region of fresh foods from local California producers.
Market Info
Since 1980, the Central Sacramento Sunday Certified Farmers’ Market has cultivated a space for local California farms to sell the freshest fruits and vegetables directly to Sacramento shoppers at affordable prices. This legacy continues today with fresh local produce, flowers, nuts, breads, eggs, honey, and more! The market is known by many names:
- the big Sunday farmers’ market
- the farmers’ market under the freeway
- the farmers’ market across from Southside Park
- the market between W and X Streets
Whatever you call it, we hope to see you there!

Pet Policy
No dogs are allowed. We love dogs, but California law does not allow them to join you at the farmers’ market unless they are service animals. California Health & Safety Code 114259.5 stipulates that live animals aren’t allowed in Certified Farmers’ Markets and permitted food facilities, with the exception of service animals. Fraudulently misrepresenting service animals is a misdemeanor (California Penal Code 365.7 [a]).
