Alchemist
Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
dedicated to nurturing and strengthening the ability of Sacramento residents
to shape the future of their neighborhoods and benefit equitably from
development. We do this by helping residents identify the best ways to
improve their communities. Our primary service area is the Alkali and Mansion
Flat neighborhoods of downtown Sacramento. We developed the Urban Farm Stand
Project in response to this neighborhood’s need for fresh produce. We are
replicating the Urban Farm Stand model in other interested communities. Based on
the success of our Urban Farm Stand, we are actively pursuing new
community-inspired projects and potential partnerships with other organizations.
